The Join the Fun Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children with disabilities experience the joy of community activities, special outings, and inclusive fun. Our goal is simple: break down barriers so every child can join in, explore, and belong.
Our Mission
To provide children with disabilities the support and opportunities they need to explore, play, and experience the world. Because every child deserves to join the fun.
Our Structure
- Nonprofit Status: Join the Fun Foundation is incorporated with the Pennsylvania Department of State, Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations. We have 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status with the IRS. Our Federal Tax ID is 39-4583744.
- Board of Directors: The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who oversee the organization’s policies, finances, and mission alignment.
About the Fun Fund
At Join the Fun Foundation, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience the joy of play, adventure, and community. The Fund Fund is our giving program that makes this possible.
Donations go directly into a pool we call the Fun Fund. Families can then apply for grants that cover the cost of activities and experiences like:
- A trip to local attractions
- Inclusive events
- Sensory-friendly opportunities
- Participation on a sports team
- Support of a trained attendant
- Specialized materials or other resources
- And so much more!
Grant Opportunities
Some of our grants are announced opportunities, such as group outings or events we’ve already secured funding for. Others are family-driven requests, where you can apply for support for an activity that would bring joy to your child. In both cases, the goal is the same: to remove barriers and create more moments of inclusion, connection, and fun.
Although our headquarters are in Pennsylvania, we provide grants to children in the communities of our donors. Currently, grants are available to families residing in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Texas.
For many families, everyday outings can feel out of reach. The Fun Fund removes barriers by providing needed supports so that kids can fully join in the fun alongside their peers. Together, we can create magical moments that children and families will remember forever!
Transparency & Accountability
We are committed to responsible stewardship of every dollar entrusted to us. All funds raised go directly to:
- Family grants supporting experiences for children with developmental differences.
- Program costs such as volunteer coordination, support staff, and community partnerships.
- Essential administrative expenses that allow us to remain compliant and operational.
