A Big Impact in Just a Few Short Months
In just a few short months, the Join the Fun Foundation has already begun making a meaningful difference for families. What started as a vision for inclusion and access is quickly turning into real experiences, joyful moments, and lasting memories.
Through our first round of grants, families were able to enjoy experiences that might otherwise feel out of reach. In October, seven families were selected to attend Hershey’s Chocolate World Sensory Friendly Night, where they could enjoy the experience in an environment designed to be welcoming and supportive of sensory needs.
In December, two families were selected to attend Holidays at Hersheypark, giving them the opportunity to experience the magic of the season in a way that felt inclusive and comfortable for their family. These moments allowed families to focus on connection, joy, and creating meaningful holiday memories together.
In addition, we partnered with the National Aquarium to provide free admission for a family to enjoy a sensory-friendly visit. This partnership offered a chance to explore, learn, and experience the aquarium at a pace and setting that supported sensory differences.
Each of these opportunities reflects our commitment to expanding access, reducing barriers, and ensuring that families of all abilities can truly join the fun.
This is only the beginning
These experiences are about more than just fun days out. They are about belonging, reducing barriers, and creating moments where families can participate fully and comfortably together. When environments are designed with sensory needs in mind, families can focus on connection, joy, and making memories instead of managing stress.
Even more inclusive events, partnerships, and opportunities are already in the works. As the Join the Fun Foundation continues to grow, so does our commitment to expanding access and creating welcoming experiences for families of all abilities.
